What it is
Cognition acquired Windsurf in July 2025 and renamed the editor Devin Desktop on June 2, 2026; windsurf.com now redirects to devin.ai. It is a VS Code-based editor with an agent command center that runs Cognition's Devin Local agent alongside outside agents, plus Devin cloud sessions on paid plans. Plans: Free, Pro $20, Max $200, Teams $80 a month plus $40 per full seat, Enterprise custom. Usage runs on daily and weekly quotas since March 2026. Checked November 2026.
