In 2026 the enterprise AI market split into three shapes: platforms that run AI across the whole company, platforms that own the customer conversation, and platforms that organize knowledge. The marketing has converged on the same words, so the labels no longer tell you much.

1. General agent platforms

General agent platforms such as SPIRITT, Perplexity Computer and Manus give agents their own cloud computer to browse, write code and produce finished work. They differ mainly in how much they keep running after the first task, and in how they handle models and integrations.

2. Customer experience agents

Sierra, Decagon and Wonderful build the agents that talk to your customers over voice, chat and email. Sierra leads with Fortune 500 brands and outcome-based pricing. Decagon lets CX teams change agent behavior in plain language. Wonderful leads in non-English markets with local deployment teams, and in 2026 rebranded around an enterprise AI OS.

3. Knowledge and employee assistance

Glean makes company knowledge searchable with permissions intact. Moveworks, now part of ServiceNow, resolves IT and HR requests. Microsoft 365 Copilot speeds up work inside Office.

How to choose

  • If the goal is broad adoption across departments, start with a general agent platform and test it on real processes.
  • If the goal is customer service first, shortlist Sierra, Decagon and Wonderful by market and channel.
  • If the pain is finding information, add Glean or Copilot underneath.
  • Ask every vendor who does the deploying, and what you can change yourself after go-live.
